Originally Born in Baku, Azerbaijan, I grew up
in San Francisco, CA. I began painting at the age
of twelve. My love for history, politics and art
led me to a career in Theater and Film Design.
Now, armed with a MFA in Stage and Film Design
from NYU's TISCH School of the Arts and over
thirteen years of experience as a professional
designer, I am motivated to return to my first love, painting.
My work often expresses an internal emotional or psychological state. All aspects of the composition serve to express this condition. My hope is to create a visual expression that is universal and can unite people through a shared experience.
